MAAUN President Gwarzo Receives Another European University Professorship Award

AREWA AGENDA – Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, President and Founder of the MAAUN conglomerate, proposed Franco-British International University, President General of the Association of African Private Universities, Chairman Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Foundation, Wazirin Hausawan Turai, and Sarkin Yaki da Jahilcin Africa, celebrated his 44th birthday on January 1, 2022.

Many dignitaries from Nigeria, France, Benin Republic, and Togo, among other nations, attended the event, which was held in magnificent fashion.
The first speaker at the event, Prof. Salouhou Mahmoudou, a professor and founder of the European Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship Education (ECLEE) and Jagora University in Cameroon, Senegal, and Tunisia, emphasized the outstanding qualities of the celebrant of the day, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, and used the occasion to announce that his center ECLEE has conferred Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo with the award of professor of leadership and entrepreneurship education as well as a visiting professor at Jagora University.

Gwarzo’s outstanding leadership qualities and the impact he is making in education in Sub-Saharan Africa were cited as the justification for the center to honor him. The European Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship Education (ECLEE) is an institute specialized in educational innovation created in 2004 in the United States of America and then in 2006 in France.

Dr. Abdullahi Sufi, on the other hand presented a one-year documentary of Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Foundation, which showcased the foundation’s activities in relation to societal transformation.
Meanwhile, other University Vice Chancellors gave goodwill messages and reaffirmed their institutions’ commitment to working with MAAUN to achieve the mission of education for all.

Similarly, some notable northern politicians and traditional title holders, including Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta, and other key traditional rulers, offered fascinating remarks at the grand event.

Professor Ahmed Maigari’s presentation was a recollection of some remarkable acts and events that took place on January 1st throughout history, which coincided with the day Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, the champion of education of our day, was born.

The MC of the day, Dr. Bala Muhammad Tukur, MAAUN, Director of Linkages and Collaborations, acknowledges the presence of hundreds of invited guests as they presented their birthday gifts to the popular, generous, and seasoned educationist, Prof. Gwarzo, in a colorful way.

In his remarks, the bilingual Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, who spoke in French, English, and Hausa, encouraged and advised the gathering. He denounced hypocrisy, envy, and jealousy, portraying them as deeds capable of stifling the progress of a people and society. He challenged the people, particularly the youth, to embrace the path of progress and development that industrialized nations such as the United States, Europe and other countries of the world had achieved.

The birthday celebration is a testimony of Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo’s pedigree and humanitarian concerns he exhibits in his community and beyond. The noble occasion was graced by over 400 guests from across world.

Opening and closing prayer were conducted by the humble MAAUN chief Imam, Ustaz Muhammad Abubakar Muhammad.
