Bashiru Muhammad, Elected President of Nigerian Students in Europe

AREWA AGENDA – Mr. Bashiru Muhammad, an indigene of Sokoto State, has been elected President of the Association of Nigerian Students in Europe (ANSE).

Muhammad emerged as ANSE President at the association’s congress in Istanbul, the capital of Turkey, PRNigeria learnt.

The activities of the election was however conducted virtually.

A postgraduate student of Accounting and Finance at Coventry University in London, Muhammad, in his acceptance speech, promised to revive the nearly moribund association.

The association is established to facilitate open communication and sharing of information among Nigerian students, through their respective forums and organisations in Europe.

Muhammad, also pledged to reinvigorate the association by initiating beneficial programmes and projects, for ANSE members’ benefits.

He said: “We will encourage the dissemination and sharing of information, especially on student visa, scholarship offers, and internship opportunities”.
