Yakmut Reaffirms His Loyalty to the Party, APC
AREWA AGENDA – Malam Al-Hassan Yakmut who served as State Coordinator of APC-PCC (Contact and Mobilisation) has affirmed that he remains a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state under the leadership of the former Governor of Plateau state Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong with Hon Rufus Bature as the state Chairman and has never had intentions of joining any factional members.
Yakmut in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday was reacting to a report being shared on social media a day after he was seen among APC members that visited Sen. George Akume.
He stressed that the delegation truly went as FCT-based elders of the party not factional though the state party Exco leadership was not represented.
“Remember I had personally visited the SGF whom I have known back in 1991 a few hours after his appointment’ Yakmut said.

Yakmut called on the general public to disregard such information that he is part of the Plateau state factional APC elders who worked against the former Governor Simon Bako Lalong and the interest of the party in the state.
He said, “My attention has been drawn to the news going round the social media that I, Mall Al-Hassan Yakmut is against the leadership of the party in the state and the Leader of the party Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong former Governor of Plateau state.
“I will at best describe it as baseless and aimed at maligning my integrity. I enjoin all members and indeed elders of our party to be united to attract massive dividends of democracy to our beloved state and people”. Yakmut added.
Yakmut pledged his loyalty to the party and its unity in the state by saying; “I remain loyal to the leadership of the APC at all times and would continue to work for the party.
My loyalty to my party the APC is 100 percent,
I would continue to protect the interest of the party and it’s leadership both at the state and federal level” .
