Tribunal Returns Danjuma to Nass, Dismisses Dawaki’s Petition

The National/ State House of Assemblies Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Kano has affirmed that the two witnesses presented by Mustapha Bala dawaki, APC, were insufficient and not enough to prove the allegations of irregularities in 244 Polling Units, 29 Wards of Dawakin Kudu/ Warawa Constituency during the conduct the House of Representatives Election conducted on 25th Feb. 2023.

Mustapha Bala Dawaki of APC approached the Tribunal seeking to nullify and void the victory of Danjuma Hassan Muhammad of NNPP.

In her judgement, Justice Flora Ngozi Azinge upheld that the Petitioner’s witnesses lacks standard requirement to prove the allegations of over voting, non accreditation of voters, wrongly collation.

The Tribunal described the petition by Mustapha Bala dawaki as ‘hungry for evidence.’

She equally affirmed the victory of Hassan Muhammad Danjuma and equally dismissed the petition.

The Tribunal awarded the sum of N100,000 cost against the Petitioner.g
