Senator Al-Makura Debunks Working Against APC
AREWA AGENDA – Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa South Senatorial Zone has debunked working against APC.
Al-Makura announced that even though he did not win the February 25 senatorial election, he still fully supports the All Progressives Congress (APC) agenda.
Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura suffered a defeat from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Senator Muhammed Onawo Ogoshi in the Nasarawa South senatorial race on February 25
Afterward, reports claimed that the former Nasarawa state governor has joined forces with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to challenge Governor Abdullahi Sule of the ruling APC.
Rumor has it that Senator Al-makura is upset because Governor Sule did not advocate for his election to the National Assembly’s red chambers.

However, Al-Makura refuted the rumor, describing it as false information propagated by “unemployed politicians and rumor paddlers who take glee in giving the dog a bad name to hang it.”
A statement from the camp of the outgoing senator read, “The attention of His Excellency, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has been drawn to the above mischievous and fake news published by Nasarawa Mirror on Monday, 01/03/2023.
