Nigeria Decides: INEC Set to Present Presidential Results of Kano at National Collation Centre
AREWA AGENDA – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday night concluded state collation of Presidential Election’s results in Kano State for the entire 44 Local Government’s in the state
The Presidential and House of Representative elections were held simultaneously across the country on Saturday.
The Kano collation as other places recorded usual break intermittently to wait for the arrival of results from some LGAs within the period.
Prof. I. Lawal Bilbis, the State Collation Officer said the process is a well spent days, “we have a very wonderful interaction here, unlike other places where we see, when I was coming here people told me is going to be different, I told them no, and I proved them right is going to be peaceful and we thank Almighty for bringing us to this level and we look forward for next week, when you will do next elections, may God guide us and protect us.”

He further assured that on Tuesday as the result is ready he will be at National Collation Centre to present same to the INEC Chairman at the Headquarters.

He further said “my job is very simple, is to express profound gratitude for the orderly manner you have conducted yourself for the conclusion of first round of this very important assignment for our country. The chief collation officer said it all, we are really very proud that this exercise went on very smoothly.”
The exercise was conducted under the watch of party agents, domestic and foreign observers, security agencies, the media and other stakeholders.
