There is no new pump price of petrol- IPMAN
AREWA AGENDA – The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) says it is yet to receive any official communication on the new price hike of petrol, hence its members should continue to dispense fuel at the N162 pump price.
IPMAN Chairman, Kano State Branch Alhaji Bashir Ahmad Dan Malam announced this on Friday while addressing journalists in the state over reports of an increase in petrol pump price by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA).
Solacebase reports that the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, Thursday, fixed the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as petrol, at N212.61 per litre, for the month of March.

The new price, according to the PPPRA’s PMS guiding price, released to stakeholders, is supposed to commence from March 1st and run till March 31st, 2021.
Dan Malam insists and directed its members to continue dispensing the litre at the old price until the contrary with official communication from the federal government.
He told newsmen that whenever there is fuel increment critical stakeholders will inform the IPMAN leadership and urges the general public to disregard the ongoing rumour
According to the Chairman, the leadership of IPMAN has consulted critical stakeholders in the petroleum sector and were informed that there is no such decision of fuel increment for now .
He said the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has enough fuel for distribution across the country at least for 60 days and urge the public to avoid panic buying.
