AREWA AGENDA – International Women’s Day is observed to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements and struggles of women world over.

Every year, the day is observed on March 8 with the aim of amplify the many struggles women undergo which in turn helps to drive positive change.

Be it any field, ladies have never left any stone unturned in proving themselves worthy of their own onion.

Renowned Kannyood Star, Rahama Sadau also known as the ‘Queen Of The North’, is not only one of those many brave women who are trailing blazes in their fields of endeavor, but one who also recognizes the importance of marking such great day with her kind.

On March 8th, she had followed in the footsteps of other brave women from different angle of the world to celebrate the day in her own unique way.

Though controversial, Rahama has built a name for herself thanks to her astonishing acting skills and leadership potential.

In marking ‘Choosing to Challenge,’ she took to social media to celebrate the International women’s Day 2021 by posting a powerful quote along side a video clip, portraying her going to a shooting site for a movie, reading a script confidently and the screen Diva’s caption read: “Achieving an equal future in a COVID_19 world. We must continue to advocate for women’s representation that reflects all women and girls in our diversity and abilities, and also cultural, social economic and political solutions.
That is the only way we will get real societal change that incorporates women in decision-making as equals and benefits us all”

Alongside her acting, the African star is also a producer, enterpreneur, and a philanthropist.

Rahama was the co-founder of Ray of Hope Foundation Africa, a Non Governmental Organisation she esablished in 2016 that focuses on social interventions through Gender Equality, Sexual Abuse, Early Marriage, Violence Against Women and Girls, Menstrual Hygiene, Women and Girls Empowerment, and Health Awareness.

She is the first female actress in Kannywood to be listed among 100 most incredible Nigerian’s Impacting the world in 2020 by Leading ladies Africa. Rahama Sadau is no less than a wonder woman. Facing all the scandals and societal pressures alone, she is truly an epitome of perseverance, humour and energy.

Rahama Sadau was born on December 7th, 1993, in Kaduna State, Nigeria. She was raised in the State alongside her siblings. They included three sisters named Zainab, Fatima, and Aisha. Her two brothers are Abba and Haruna.
