Kano MOI to Train Information Officers /PRO
Kano State Ministry of Information would train Information officers of local governments and MDA’s in the state on modern trend for journalism for effective service delivery.
The state Commissioner of Information, Malam Muhammad Garba made this known while receiving Image Marchants Promotion Limited, Publishers of PR Nigeria and Economic Confidential Magazine.
The Commissioner said the training will sharpen the skills of Information officers for optimal productivity and efficiency in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He said that the ministry would partner with PR Nigeria to organize training programme for the information officers in the state in order to meet up with modern trends of journalism.
Malam Garba described the PR Nigeria an online newspaper as the one that follow the ethics of journalism in their reports.

The Commissioner urged all journalists to strictly adhere to the ethics of their profession with a view of ensuring fairness, accuracy and balance.
Earlier, the founder and Chief Executive Officer, Image Marchants Promotion Limited, Publishers of PR Nigeria and Economic Confidential Magazine, Alhaji Yusha’u A Shu’aibu said they were at the ministry to brief the Commissioner about their various training programmes which includes media services, crisis communication, research, documentation and other capacity building programmes.
He explained that as image makers,
information and public relations officers need to be equipped with media management skills to enable them relate effectively with public via media.
Alhaji Yusha’u assured that the collaboration between the ministry and them will yield positive results as the firm has designed a customized training modules that will enhance the capacity of information and public relations officers to professionally manage media and effectively communicate crisis to the public.
