We’ll improve Kano IGR from 2billion to 10billion – Yakasai
AREWA AGENDA – The Kano State gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Redemption Party, Salihu Tanko Yakasai has vowed to increase the Internally Generated Revenue of Kano State from 2 billion naira to 10 billion naira on monthly basis.
Yakasai revealed this today at Kano State while interacting with 21 Civil Society Organisations on Education, Health, Security, Infrastructure, Governance, Commerce and Industry Agriculture among other topics of development.
Salihu Tanko Yakasai said the increase of the IGR would be through automation and upgrading of the state revenue agency with the appointment of competent tax collectors.

He further said if assume as the state governor, his administration will develop another mega-city around Tudunwada and Doguwa Local Government to decongest Kano city through Public Private Partnership.
While answering a question about the Security Sector of the state Yakasai lamented to make a strong collaboration with security personnel for their unity in making joint task operations in the state.
He further promised to introduce Surveillance Cameras at the state entries and checkpoints to monitor all the moves around the borders of the state.
He later cautioned Kano state indigents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the security offices near for mitigation of crime around the various communities in the state.
