Eid-el-Fitr: Imbibe the Good Virtues of Ramadan – Kogi AG Charges Citizens
Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajiya Habibat Oyiza Onumoko has charged the citizens of the state to imbibe the good virtues of Ramadan by loving one another and live peacefully among themselves.
Addressing the members of FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) today in GRA Okene shortly after the eid prayers, the AG said the period brings renewed commitment to living a life of service and piety, adding that Islam and Christianity share a lot of good virtues in common.
She congratulated muslim faithfuls and urged them to see the season as a time for reconciliations, sober reflection, sacrifice and generosity towards others.
She advised Kogites to remain steadfast, united and to always play positive roles towards the overall development of the state.

The AG equally used the occasion to reiterate Kogi State government commitments to prioritizing women welfare and to protect their rights.
She said Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo recognizes the role of women in nation building, noting that Nigerian women are indispensable to the nation’s development, growth and greatness.
While calling for support for Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo’s led administration in the state, she said, “during the election period, we campaigned on a mantra of shared prosperity, consolidation of projects, continuity of policies and we have not deviated from that path”.
The AG enjoined muslims in Kogi State to continue on the path of spirituality, peaceful co-existence and to use the festival to pray for peace, security, unity and prosperity in the state.
High point of the event was the meal served to children numbering over 500 and clothes shared to them.
The children who were obviously happy prayed for long life and sound health for the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Accountant General of the state.
