EID-EL-KABIR: Tinubu Urges Muslims Faithful to Uphold True Spirit of Islam

AREWA AGENDA – The All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential flagbearer Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Muslims across Nigeria to uphold the true spirit of Islam as the Eid-el-Kabir celebration begins on Friday.

Tinubu called on the Muslim faithful to intensify prayers to Allah to end insurgency and restore peace across Nigeria, saying: “The country is faced with serious security and economic challenges. Most troubling is the spate of violent attacks on innocent Nigerians. We must take a stand against terror and injustice.
“We should adhere to the principles of Islam, respect each other, be tolerant, patriotic, and stay away from anything that can cause violence and claim lives and properties. We should pray to Allah to expose the sponsors and perpetrators of attacks, kidnapping, and abductions.
“Allah has created us to build a better Nigeria for all and sundry, not to destroy the country and make it unattractive to each other.
“We shouldn’t forget our soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country through fighting the cursed-by-all elements whose interest is to bring the country down and make everyone helpless and poor by all means. Pray to Allah to grant them victory against devilish elements.”
