Dan’Agundi Commends President-Elect, Tinubu for Endorsing Akpabio as Senate President
AREWA AGENDA – The Former Director of Tinubu Suport group in charge of North West, Dr Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi has commended the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu for endorsing Senator Godswill Akpabio as Senate President of the 10th Assembly and Barau Jibrin as his deputy.
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen by the former director of the APC Northwest Support Group, Dr Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi on Tuesday.
Dan’Agundi hailed Tinubu for making the decision in line with the loyalty and hard work of the aspirants.
“It would be recalled when Tinubu came to Kano, we all predicted who will secure this ticket, including the Governor of Kano state himself, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje”
“We awarded Akpabio for dissolving his Northwest campaign council in Kano and instructed them to continue working with me with his support”

“Also, we named Barau as the Grand patron of Northwest support groups and also Tinubu awarded him during an event at Sani Abacha Indoor stadium in Kano” he disclosed.
According to Baffa, the combination of the duo aspirants started from the event held at the indoor stadium.
Baffa stressed it is a must to appreciate the President-elect for endorsing these grass root democrats.
“It is evident, they are grassroots politicians, that’s why Barau is the only elected Senator under the platform of APC in Kano. Likewise, Akpabio won in his zone which is PDP’s stronghold, pulling over 160,000 votes for Tinubu” Baffa noted.
The former support group Director lauds Tinubu as a politician who pays back loyalty with loyalty.
Adding that, Akpabio broke the spine of many oppositions at Eagle Square during the APC presidential primaries by stepping down for and supporting Tinubu.
Dan’Agundi while expressing his gratitude to Tinubu for the warm gesture, assured that they are all in support of his endorsement from Northwest and wished the aspirants a successful tenure to positively steer the affairs of Nigerians who elected them and the APC party in general.
He noted that Akpabio portrayed true love and support to Northerners when he was the Governor of Akwa Ibom state and supported the party immensely.
