JUST IN:Court Restrains Expulsion Of Kwankwaso, Sets Aside Suspension From NNPP

A Kano High Court has restrained the expulsion of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

The court presided by Justice Usman Malam Naábba on Monday ruled in an ex-parte order set aside the purported suspension of Rabiu Kwankwaso as a member of the applicant and restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission from recognizing the purported suspension pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.

The Applicant in the suit is New Nigeria  People Party and the Respondents are , Chief Boniface O. Aniebonam, Gilbert Agbo Major, Barr. Tony Christopher Obioha, Comrade Ogini Olaposi, Hajia Rekia Zanlaga, Mark Usman, Umar A. Jubril and Alhaji Adebanju Wasiu.

Others are Alhaji Tajudeen Adebayo, Alhaji Mamoh Garuba, AbdulRasaq Abdulsalam, Barr. Abiola Henry Olarotimi, Engr. Babayo Abdullahi Mohammed, Alhaji Ibrahim Yahaya, Chinonso Adiofu, Prince Sunday Chukwuemeka, Barr. Jonathan Chineme Ibeogu and the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The court after hearing the counsel of the applicant, Barr. Y.Y. Dansulaiman, Justice Na’ábba stopped the respondents or their agents from issuing press release or granting interviews, as national officers, leaders or members of the applicant pending the hearing and determination of the case.
