FG Commissions Rural Electrification project in Benue

AREWA AGENDA – The Federal Government of Nigeria has commissioned the awarded forty kilometer long Rural Electrification Project in  Okpoga, Idobe and Ichama districts of Okpokwu local government area of Benue State.

The electricity project was attracted by the lawmaker representing Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibu federal constituency, Francis Agbo.

Ichama, is a farming community in Benue South senatorial district in Okpokwu local government area.

Journeying to this community is very stressful considering the poor road accessibility.
It is a condition ichama residents are used to.

Basic amenities for survival and to improve the standard of living of residents has become a forgotten prayer point.

Amenities such as road networks, electricity, have ling been neglected.

Now, over 300 high tension lines and poles, hundreds of low tension poles, with a number of brand new 500KVA transformers are now being planted in the community.

It is an intervention championed by the lawmaker representing Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibu which costs four hundred million Naira.

From Okpoga down to Idobe through Akpakpa to Ichama, residents recount their ordeals.

The state governor is represented by his deputy at this commissioning of the forty kilometer rural electrification project.

He commends the lawmaker for fixing the needs of his people.

For the first time in history, residents of Ichama and adjoining communities, now have a feel of public power supply to boost their economy and light up their environment in the light up everyone project.
