APC raises N2.2b for campaigns in Yobe
AREWA AGENDA – The All Progressives Congress (APC) Yobe State chapter yesterday has so far raised N2.2 billion for its campaigns.
The opening of the fundraising was said to enable the hitch-free campaign process of the party across the state and the re-election of Governor Mai Mala Buni and his deputy, Idi Gubana, in the gubernatorial elections.

The chairman of the fundraising committee,Tijjani Tumsa, while declaring the event open disclosed that “The essence of this fundraising was to ensure a hitch-free campaign process across the state.”
He noted that N2.2 billion had been realised, while campaign donations were still coming from party supporters and political associates within and outside the state.
“We have every reason to contribute funds today in bringing back the duo to contest the governorship election in the state,” he said.
Chairman of Yobe APC Campaign Council, Sen. Ibrahim Gaidam, charged the party supporters to donate generously for the re-election of Buni and Gubana.
“You should support and elect all other APC candidates into various offices in the state,” he added.
