Youths are the Hope of The Nation – Senator Gyang

The Senator Representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Istifanus Gyang has said that Nigerian youths are the key to ensuring a progressive Nigeria.

The distinguished Senator of the 9th National Assembly stated this at a two days retreat organized for Non Governmental Organizations (NGO), Young People and the Media on Nigeria’s Reproductive Maternal ,
Newborn Child Adolescent and Elderly Health Plus Nutrition (RMNCAEH+N) recovery plan which was organized by the Africa Health Budget Network (AHBN).

Senator Gyang called on Nigerian youths to be active in striving for positive development as they remain the only hope of the country.

He added that as a serving legislator, he sees a lot of potentials that can be achieved by the youths if they unite and rise to advocate for change on Health, Education , Security and the Economy, thereby creating an enabling environment for the betterment of the Nation.

“As a serving legislator, I have been engaging youths in my constituency across six Local Government Areas of Barkin-ladi, Riyom, Bassa, Jos East, North and South and our activities have cut across Health, Education, Youth Empowerment, Peace Building, Advocacy, Security, Economic Empowerment, Inclusiveness and so on.

“The progressive records by youth in the constituency has impacted the state positively in various ways,” he added.

Earlier in his remark, the ex deputy Chairman, House Committee on Health and former Kaduna State Commissioner of Education, Hon. Muhammad Usman, commended the AHBN Coordinator, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba for his tireless commitment in ensuring a better and functional health system in the country through his NGO.

“He has been engaging the media, youth and all relevant stakeholders to work roud the clock not only in health but on all the sustainable development goals across the country.”

Responding, the Coordinator of the Africa Health Budget Network (AHBN), Dr Aminu Magashi Garba appreciated the Senator and former reps member for identifying with the event which is meant to help government at all levels implement the RMNCAEH+N recovery plan.

He expressed optimism that the year 2022 will bring alot of positive development following strategic implementation of the retreat’s outcome.
