The leadership of different PDP support groups in Kano on the platform of Coalition of All Kano PDP Support Groups has demanded the immediate resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus.
The group said the decision was reached after an extensive deliberation at Bristol Palace Hotel on Monday.
According to a press statement signed by Hon. Alh. Abba Aminu Dawaki, Chairman Coalition of All Kano PDP support Groups and Hon. Comrade Yahaya Shehu Muhammad Secretary General of the coalition, the descision was made after hours of deliberations and careful review of the crises rocking the party with the aim of searching for solutions.
The statement also stated some reasons for the decision which includes;
The internal crisis bedevilling the party which according to it, is nothing but a reflection of sheer inefficiency, incompetency, and poor managerial skills being displayed by the National Chairman of the party.
It was also recalled how Prince Uche Secondus “out of his lust for power” mobilized the party stakeholders across the country against the former party leadership of Bamanga Tukur and Adamu Mu’azu on the ground of the same ”incompetency” he is now exhibiting.
“Thus the members are calling on National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BOT) of the party to as a matter of urgency pass a vote of no confidence on the National Chairman and unanimously sack him to save the party from total collapse,” the group said.
It also stated that the National Chairman of the party is on a mission of destroying the party for the ruling APC as reflected in his deliberate actions and inactions to frustrate many State Governors, Distinguished Senators, Members House of Reps among others to decamp from the party to the ruling APC.

The statement further revealed that the National Chairman of the party, Price Uche Secondus embezzled and misappropriated the party funds for his own self aggrandizement on which they are working on a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to make sure the returned of the misappropriated funds to the party purse and the subsequent prosecution of the Uche Secondus and those he lured to perpetrate the crimes.
It emphasised that the PDP National Chairman is not doing enough to amicably settle the internal crises in the state chapters of the party across the federation rather he was fueling the crises through his double standard and poor managerial skills.
That, It was still fresh in their memories how the so-called National Chairman connived with some unscrupulous elements in the party and attempted to bring to disrepute the great state party leader His Excellency Hon. Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso at the North West PDP Zonal Congress which regrettably end in stalemate due to the incompetent national party leadership under the stewardship of Uche Secondus. Thus Secondus had since then lost their support.
That, Prince Uche Secondus has failed woefully in providing constructive opposition to the ruling APC that failed Nigerians woefully. Thus had no business remaining as the chairman of the biggest opposition party, PDP.
That, PDP interest and survival are greater than an individual selfish interests. Hence they cannot afford to continue watching Uche Secondus dragging the party to polical extinct.” Our great party has come a long way and it is clear that Nigerians are yearning for the return of PDP to power and this must not be stop by the selfish Secondus”
“we salute the National Youth Leader of the party Rt. Hon. Udey Okoye for his doggedness to end the bad leadership of Secondus and we are loudly calling on the party NEC, NWC, BoT and other critical stakeholders of the party to immediately swing into actions and quickly get rid of the incompetent National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus before he get rid of the party from the Nigeria’s political landscape, failure to do so before 1st September, 2021 we will mobilized our members and stage a 2 million people sit in protest at the party national headquarters in Abuja until Uche Secondus GO for the good of the party”
