Prof Isaac Itodo Emerges New VC, Tarka University, Makurdi
AREWA AGENDA – Prof Isaac Itodo emerged as the seventh vice-chancellor of the Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, Benue State.
Prof Itodo was appointed by the Governing Council University, formerly known as the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
According to the university’s Pro-chancellor and Chairman of Council, Edith Uwajumogwu, the appointment will take effect from April 17, 2023.

Announcing the appointment in a statement on Saturday, Uwajumogwu said the vice chancellor, who is an agricultural engineer, was the first alumnus of the varsity to be appointed VC since the university was established in 1988.
Uwajumogwu also noted that Itodo emerged after a ‘credible and open process’ involving 16 candidates, who were shortlisted from the 18 applications received after the opening was announced.
