PRNIGERIA Trains 70 Youth On Digital And Multimedia Production In Kano

AREWA AGENDA – PRNIGERIA Centre on Friday rounded off its 2-day free training on graphic design, multimedia production, Adobe Premier Illustrator and Lumen 5 Video Editing to 70 youth in Kano state.
The training had in attendance 42 females and 28 males across the 44 local government areas of the state.
While speaking, The Head, PRNigeria Training and ICT, Salis Manager, said the training is aimed at achieving the federal government’s target of achieving 95% digital literacy by 2030 and also bridging the gap of youth and women in the digital space.

He stressed that the Center realizes that larger percentage of youth and women in northern Nigeria are lagging behind in harnessing the abundance of opportunity inherently available in digital economy, a situation he said is worrisome.
Manager added that the training is completely free of charge, as he also stressed that he expects the participants to utilize the training to make difference in the society, and to as well use the skill acquired during the course of the training to make livings for themselves.
On her part, the facilitator of the program, Sadiya Lawal DanYaro exuded the confidence that the participants “can now” conduct step-down trainings for other youth, adding that she also expected them to use the training to upgrade their businesses, and to as well enhance their chances of getting online business opportunities.
One of the participants of the training, Sadiya Bello Abdullahi expressed her appreciation to the organizer for what she described as a “rare opportunity”, assuring that the training has endeared her the opportunity to conduct step-down trainings to other youth in her neighborhood.
