KIS: We’ll declare a state of emergency on Education, Health and create Internal Security Ministry, says Shaaban Sharada
AREWA AGENDA – The Action Democratic Party Gubernatorial Candidate Hon. Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada has pledged to declare a state of emergency in Education and Health sector in Kano state.
Sharada made this declaration during a Kano gubernatorial interactive session with 21 Non-Governmental Organisations held in Kano State.
He said that, when assumed as the Kano State Governor, his first hundred days will focus on attracting internal as well as foreign investors in both the educational and health sectors in the state.
“We will have a series of engagements with our business magnates in the state and call for the attention of foreign countries to come over to Kano and make a possible intervention in the education and health sector of Kano State,” Sharada said
He vowed to introduce a voluntary teaching scheme, improve the welfare of teachers in the state and have the statistics of teachers, students and classes for the renovation of dilapidated structures as well as training of teachers to produce a qualitative and digitalised learning atmosphere in Kano State.

In the health sector, Shaaban promised to initiate an E-Health system with the construction of new primary healthcare facilities in all the 484 wards of Kano, where the healthcare facilities exist the ADP candidate promised to upgrade it and provide a communication channel to the general hospitals he intends to build in three senatorial zones.
With immediate effect, Sharada said he will sponsor a bill for the creation of a Federal Medical University in Kano State and when assuming the duty of a governor of the state promised to provide an additional school of nursing and hospital management in an effort to strengthen the indigenous universities of the state.
On security Shaaban Sharada take it into cognisance to create the Ministry of Internal Security which will gather the information and intelligence report, coordinating security personnel to work hand in hand with one another for the protection of the lives and property of the state indigenes.
After the education, health and security sector the candidate presented his blueprints on Environment, Governance, Youth and women’s inclusiveness in governance among others.
The interactive session is the initiative of the Community Health Research Center and Youth Society for the prevention of infectious diseases and social vices sponsored by the Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation
