Gov. Ganduje Mourns Death of Hajiya Hafsat Magashi
AREWA AGENDA – Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has expressed sadness over the death of Malama Hafsatu Garba Magashi who passed away Monday night.
He prayed for Allah’s Forgiveness and Blessing on the reposed soul of the late icon.
While praying Allah to give her families the fortitude to bear the loss, he acknowledged and appreciated the contribution she made during her lifetime.
“On behalf of the government and people of Kano state, I am sending this condolence message to the families of the deceased. May Allah forgive all her mistakes and reward all her good deeds and beyond,” he said.

He further observed that, “The life of Malama Hafsatu Garba Magashi was well spent, we thank Allah for that. This is evident in how she trained people with sound human face, whose goal is to always serve humanity, her children, like Dr Aminu Garba Magashi, among others.”
He initially noted that, the state government received the death of Malama Hafsatu with deep sorrow, praying that, “May Allah continue to guide and guard what she left behind till eternity.”
Hajiya Hafsat is the biological mother of Dr Aminu Garba Magashi, the Coordinator for the Africa Health Budget Network, which aims to create linkages between CSOs in Africa to enhance their capacity in health budget advocacy and to track African health financing commitments in the context of global and regional accountability mechanisms.
