Blasphemy: The Quranic and Biblical Perspectives

By Isah Abdulkarim

AREWA AGENDA – First of all am not supporting killing nor did Islam support unjust killing.
Infact Quran said

Sahih International
Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors.
Quran 5:32

Quran also enlightened us not to force anyone to accept Islam
There is no compulsion in religion: rectitude has become distinct from error. So one who disavows the Rebels1 and has faith in Allah has held fast to the firmest handle for which there is no breaking; and Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing.
Quran 2:256

God almighty Allah allowed multiple religion

It was stated in this chapter
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.”
Quran 109:6
As these result we respect Other religion, we can’t insult Jesus Christ therefore No Christian should insult Prophet Muhammad.
Even if a Muslim insulted prophet Muhammad (SAW) law must take it course accordingly but through investigation by authority.
No One should take Law into their HANDS.

The messenger of Allah (SAW) was insulted during his life time and Allah reveal a verse concerning what He should do
Allah said.
Be patient ˹O Prophet˺ with what they say about you, and depart from them courteously.
Quran 73 vs10

Both Muslim and Christians know that blasphemy against God almighty, Prophets and messengers of God and Religion is is punishable by death.
The Bible says blasphemy against the holy spirit will Not be forgiven from this world to hereafter. But you shouldn’t take LAW INTO YOUR HAND

Well every Muslim will and should obey Allah almighty God and his messenger including the leaders in authority

O you who have believed, obey Allāh and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allāh and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allāh and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.
Quran 4:59

These shows that everything’s going back to the AUTHORITY
We should all respect each other Religion, messengers and God almighty.

In short Reflect on what Allah says here both Muslims and Nonmuslims, watch this

Had your Lord so willed ˹O Prophet˺, all ˹people˺ on earth would have certainly believed, every single one of them! Would you then force people to become believers?
Quran 10vs99

God wants this diversity in religion and ethnicity and you can not change it.
Is for Allah alone.
God almighty Allah bless you guys for reading this to the end.
