2023: Katsina SGS Urges Supporters To Accommodate Views, Avoid Violent Acts Over Governorship Ambition

No fewer than 300 groups and supporters of the Secretary to Katsina State Government (SGS), Alhaji Mustapha Muhammed Inuwa from the thirty-four Local Government Areas of the State converged the state capital on Sunday, to express their support to his ambition to become the state Governor in 2023.

Inuwa while addressing them in Katsina at the weekend, advised them to conduct their activities in line with the electoral guidelines, as well accommodate the views of other people and avoid all violent act that may be detrimental to their aspirations.

He also informed his supporters to expect challenges in his efforts at ruling the state in the next political dispensation, assuring that, with their support and prayers, his dreams would become a reality in 2023.

He added that, presently, eighteen out of thirty-four members of the state House of Assembly were in support of his capabilities to become the state Governor in 2023, adding that, the number would increase before the party’s primaries

“I appreciate you all for your support. We should however not deceive ourselves that there would not be challenges in our desire to rule the state in 2023. I will advise you to eschew violence, conduct yourself in line with the electoral guidelines and accommodate other people’s rights and views”.

“As I am meeting you today, eighteen members of our House of Assembly are in support of our desire to rule the state. The number will hopefully increase before the primaries, while, 23 of our Local Government Chairmanship aspirants are also with us”.

“I will however urge us to listen to our political leader, His Excellency, Governor Aminu Masari, work as a team so that our great party will emerge victorious at the April 11, 2022 council polls”.

“My desire to become the State Governor in 2023 is to consolidate on the achievements and success of our great party, APC in the state and ensure that our children continue to get better education; our youths are employed and our state witness more developments. Very soon, I will unveil my agenda for the state. I appreciate all of you”, he concluded.

Ibrahim Dogo, the representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Funtua zone, Hajiya Saratu of Matazalla group and Yusura Nuhu of “Dan Amana” ,in their remarks, extolled the qualities of the SSG, praying for his success both at the primaries and at the 2023 polls.
