Zamfara LP deputy governorship candidate, others dump party for APC

AREWA AGENDA – The Labour Party (LP) deputy governorship candidate in Zamfara State, Alhaji Sule Dansadau defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the weekend.
Dansadau joined the ruling party ahead of the forthcoming general elections with three senatorial candidates and seven candidates for the House of Representatives.

The senatorial candidates are Yahaya Audi Mafara (Zamfara West); Alhaji Sani Yusuf Danmasami (Zamfara Central); and Adamu Yakubu (Zamfara North).

Also on the list of defectors to the APC are seven candidates for the House of Representatives and 14 out of the 19 candidates for the State House of Assembly.

They were received by the former governor and the chairman of the Zamfara 2023 governorship campaign council at a ceremony at Talata-Mafara Local Government Area.

Zamfara APC chairman, Tukur Umar Danfulani who was represented by his deputy, Alhaji Hassan Marafa Damri, expressed delight over their resolve to join the APC, adding that it is a big plus to the party.

Damri said all right-thinking indigenes of Zamfara are passionate about the peace and stability in the state and, therefore, must join hands in moving the state forward

Former Governor Abdulaziz Yari also expressed satisfaction over their defection, saying that they took a wise decision by dropping their political ambition and joining the ruling APC.
