Why We Won’t Allow Killings by Lakurawa Terrorists to Escalate, 36 Govs Brainstorm
Governors of the 36 states of the federation have said they will not allow the killings by Lakurawa terrorists in Kebbi, Sokoto and other states in the North West to escalate to other geo-political zones in the country.
Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, who read the communique at the end of a meeting of the governors in Abuja, while responding to questions from newsmen, said the governors were already collaborating with security agencies to wipe out the new terror group.

The terror group recently attacked Mera town in Augie LGA of Kebbi State killing about 20 people. They struck as residents were preparing for Juma’at prayer and rustled not less than 100 cattle.
Uba said the governors were not only concerned about nipping the new terror group in the bud but also putting to an end the security challenges bedevilling the entire country.
The governor said, “We all face various security challenges, but we are working closely with the relevant security agencies. We are very confident that it is a matter of time. All these issues will be over.”
He said the governors also resolved to strengthen collaboration between federal and state governments, improve the quality of girl-child education and integrate vocational training among others in the country, after receiving a briefing from the minister of education.
