White Heart Initiative Brings Relief, Hope to Kano Students
White Heart Development Initiative (WHDI), in partnership with the AMG Foundation, have brought smiles to the faces of 150 students at Kauyen Muhammadu Special Primary School in Tarauni LGA.
The event, held on Thursday, November 21st, saw the distribution of brand-new school uniforms and backpacks filled with essential school supplies. This initiative aimed to alleviate the burden on underprivileged families struggling to afford basic school essentials, particularly during these challenging economic times.
The joy on the students’ faces was palpable. One young girl, brimming with excitement, expressed her gratitude and her dreams for the future, “Thank you for the school bag, new uniform and books! I am so happy! I want to become the wife of the governor so that I can help pupils like me and make them happy just like the way I’m happy today.”

The White Heart Development Initiative, led by Executive Director Khadija Aliyu Ammani, remains dedicated to ensuring access to quality education for all children.
“Every child deserves the tools to succeed in school,” Ammani said. “By empowering these young ones today, we are investing in the future of our communities and our nation.”
This back-to-school outreach program aligns perfectly with WHDI’s commitment to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education). With continued support, WHDI can empower more children and help them reach their full potential.
