‘Trouble Has Starting Point Without Unknown End’, Ohinoyi Sues For Peace, Ahead Of Looming Protest

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland Dr Tijani Ahmed Anaje has called on Kogi Central youth to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during the Thursday nationwide protest, tagged #EndBadGovernment.
The Ohinoyi while briefing the members of press on Wednesday in his palace at Okene, Kogi State noted that even though it is everyone’s right to protest against injustice and maladministration, decorum and peace are also expected to be maintained.
The paramount ruler also expressed his worry ahead of the looming protest, adding that it is the beginning of chaos that can easily predicted, while its end is always unpredictable.
He reiterated that peaceful dialogue would have been tye best all parties instead of protest that can easily nosedive into crisis and pogrom.
He then called for caution, adding that room shouldn’t be given to agents of anarchy who naturally detest the Governor Ododo’s led Kogi State government to hijack the protest.

The Ohinoyi said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held stakeholder meeting with traditional leaders, where they are enjoined to maintain peace in their kingdoms.
“Yes, we know it’s our right to protest, however we should be cautious and don’t allow the agents of mischief and anarchy, who had shown from day one that they hate this administration in Kogi state to hijack the protest.
“We are all aware of the efforts of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, if we can’t complement them, we should not do anything that will drag the state backward”, the Ohinoyi said.
The Ohinoyi admonished Kogi youth to sheath their swords, pleading that this is not the best time for a protest of this nature, exuding the confidence that things would change for better in no distant time for all Kogi and Nigeria citizens.
He then extend his appreciation to all the traditional rulers in his kingdom for their efforts in maintaining peace and tranquility in their respective domains.
He also called for collective efforts in enthronement of peace, pleading to all religious leaders in Kogi Central to admonish their followers to steer clear of violence, adding that no religion supports violence.
He reiterated that even though it is important for someone to demand for his rights, it is equally important to be cautious of the timeframe, conditions for doing so, and the end achievements.
