Tinubu Urged to Appoint Tejuosho Minister to Champion Disability Causes
Nigerian Disability Community, under the auspices of the APC Deaf Supporters Forum, Gombe State Chapter, has renewed its call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
In a letter signed by Safiyanu Ibrahim Bappah, Secretary General of the APC Deaf Supporters Forum, Gombe State Chapter, the group commended Dr. Tejuosho’s outstanding achievements and dedication to promoting the welfare of marginalized groups, including persons with disabilities.
According to the letter, Dr. Tejuosho’s passion for development and her expertise in addressing the challenges faced by persons with disabilities make her an ideal candidate for the role.

The group expressed confidence that Dr. Tejuosho would bring about transformative change and improve the lives of millions of Nigerians if appointed.
The letter read in part: “Dr. Tejuosho has consistently demonstrated her commitment to the development of Nigeria and humanity at large.
“Her dedication to the welfare of marginalized communities is unparalleled, and her tireless efforts have positively impacted countless lives.
“Dr. Tejuosho’s appointment would be a significant step towards inclusive governance and ensuring that the needs of persons with disabilities are addressed. It would also be a testament to the President’s commitment to inclusive governance and his willingness to tap into the expertise of Nigerians with disabilities.” the group stated.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to announce his ministerial appointments soon, and the disability community is eagerly awaiting his decision on Dr. Tejuosho’s candidacy.
