AREWA AGENDA – Indeed, Greatness comes in alternating and vacillating ways. Thus, fortune and providence smirk and grin at people who glom unto success in different manners. Some thrive to be great with sheer persevering, sedulous and assiduous firmness of consistency and viscosity.
In fact, people in this cadre who are in a desirous avidity of greatness usually have a ‘long walk’ to greatness, and along such ‘long walk’ (to greatness) are sandwich of spinous and thistly thorns and uneven aisles; while also hanging atop of the ascendancy rungs of the ladder to such greatness are colonies of bumblebees, honey bees, carpenter bees and leave cutter bees.
This aptly highlights the life of Engr. Abubakar Adamu Waziri (Baba) popularly adored by his numerous admirers politically as Cargo in Nangere/Potiskum in Yobe State.
Born on the 3rd of March 1978 to the family of the then Mbaruman Fika, Late.Alh.Adamu Abubakar Waziri in Potiskum, in the then old Borno State, Eng. Abubakar Adamu attended Yerwa Practise Primary School Maiduguri and Comprehensive Science Secondary School in Potiskum, where he obtained his SSCE Certificate.
He then proceeded to University of Maiduguri (Unimaid)and bagged BSc Civil Engineering.
As a youngman, and an Engineer by profession,
he started his working career with Setraco Construction Company in Abuja, and moved to FCT Water Board, then, finally,Chad Basin Development Authority until his voluntary resignation to join active politics in 2022 in the bid to help bring the good of democracy to his people.
During his service days at the Chad Basin Development Authority, he brought many developmental projects to his community that in deed are worthy commendation.

Honourable Cargo drilled over 20 boreholes in Potiskum town and its environs to ease long existing lingering portable water problems for his people, donated Solar Street lights, helped and assisted thousands of his constituents in one way or the other, secured jobs for some graduates, distributed food items, health facilities and cloths to the needy during Sallah and Christmas festivities.
He also maintains a good human relation with his people.
MHR, though a political green horn, but he was able to make gis marks by emerging victorious while vying for Nangere/Potiskum under the platform of the PDP, duringbthe primary election.

We need good leaders to help guide us and make the essential large-scale decisions that keep our society moving, and this what Eng. Abubakar Adamu Waziri (Baba) possesses with consummate ease.
Our society is usually quick to identify a bad leader, but how can you identify a good one? The answer is that good leaders are easily identified with their traits, abilities, intercity, empathy, communication , courage and respect, and the remains the reason why Eng Abubakar Adamu Waziri (Baba) remains the most unquestionable and undoubtable choice for Nangere/Potiskum.
Honourable Abubakar Adamu Waziri is a leader with the ability of the of ethical prowess to shine through to leadership, a good leader that possesses the ability to demonstrate the skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the tasks expected from him, both in terms of the job that is required to be completed, but with respect to their contribution to the wider society.
As a leader he adopts leadership style that lends itself to ethical considerations, for example transformational and adaptive styles – both of which engage followers in the decision making processes, preventing harm to anyone in the process.
