Why We Suspended Our Agitation For Ganduje’s Removal – North-Central APC

In what looks like a swift political twist, a coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) groups in North Central has announced its readiness to halt its agitation for the removal of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the party’s national chairman.

Making the announcement during an interview with DCL Hausa on Wednesday, The chairman of the coalition, Hon. Abdullahi Sale Zazzaga, cited several cogent reasons for the group’s decision.

According to him, the decision to suspend the agitation came after discussions with regional leaders.

He noted that his group was advised to exercise caution ahead of the upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

Zazzaga emphasized that the coalition’s efforts were aimed at promoting the political and economic well-being of the region.

“We have agitated steadfastly and we have been heard loud and clear. This will not be the end of our agitation. We are doing it for our people.”

He further noted that the coalition would await the NEC’s decisions regarding the matter, asserting the importance of giving the committee an opportunity to address their concerns.

Ganduje has been acting as the ruling party’s national chairman since the assumption of office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023, when its former national chairman and former Nassarawa State governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu resigned his position as the party’s chairman.
