Sokoto Emirate Condemns Killing of Blasphemous College Student
AREWA AGENDA – The Sultanate Council of Sokoto has condemned the killing of a female student who was accused of being in relation to blasphemy in Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto today.
This was disclosed in a press statement released by the Sultanate Secretary Saidu Muhammad Maccido (Dan Buran of Sokoto) hours after the incident.

The statement reads; “The Sultanate Council has learnt with dismay the unfortunate happening at the Shehu Shagari College of Education(SSCOE) Sokoto that led to the loss of life of a female student of the institution, we condemned the incident in its totality and has urged the security agencies to bring perpetrators of the unjustifiable incident to justice”
Maccido later urged all to remain calm and ensure peaceful coexistence among all people of the state and nation at large.
Recalled that AREWA AGENDA reported the beating to death and burning of Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto female student where a gang of student executed her at the college premises, the incident which led to the shut down of the college indefinitely till further notice.
