The former senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Abubakar Sadiku Ohere has congratulated Nigerian teachers on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day.

The former senator made acknowledgement in a press statement he personally signed earlier on Saturday.

Ohere emphasized the critical role of Nigerian teachers in shaping the future of the nation.

“Teachers continue to inspire and nurture young minds, laying the foundation for a brighter tomorrow,” he said.

He underscored the far-reaching impact educators have on the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.

The senator reiterated his commitment to supporting teachers, advocating for improved salaries, professional development, and infrastructure upgrades in schools. “Investing in education is investing in the future of our country,” he asserted, calling on the government to prioritize educational resources.

He also expressed gratitude for their unwavering dedication. “Let us work together to create a better future for our educators and our nation,” he concluded, wishing all teachers a happy World Teachers’ Day.
