My Thoughts Are With You, Senator Natasha Expresses Solidarity For Borno Flood Victims
The senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has expressed heartfelt sympathy and support for the residents of Borno and Bauchi who have been affected by recent severe flooding.
Recall that heavy rainfall recently led to the overflow of the Alau Dam near Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, causing widespread destruction of buildings, farmland, and other properties. Similar flooding has also impacted residents in Bauchi and Yobe.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan praised the efforts of the Federal Government, as well as the Borno and Bauchi state governments, emergency responders, and humanitarian organizations for their dedication in providing relief. She called for the implementation of measures to prevent such disasters in the future.

“I am deeply distressed by the devastation caused by the floods in Borno and Bauchi. My thoughts are with the people who have lost loved ones, homes, and their livelihoods.
“While the federal and state governments are providing essential relief, it is crucial to take preventive measures to avoid future occurrences of such disasters. The severity of these floods requires immediate and effective action. I will continue to advocate for the necessary resources and support to assist the affected communities.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Borno and Bauchi during this difficult time,” she said.
