Senator Gwarzo emerges PDP North West Vice Chairman
AREWA AGENDA – Senator Bello Gwarzo has emerged as the North West Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
In a keenly contested election, Senator Gwarzo defeated his opponent, Mohammed Yusuf by 426 to 313 votes.
Announcing the results of the contest, the Chairman of the electoral committee for North-West Congress, Senator Attah Aidoko Alli described the vote as free and fair.
He also commended the delegates and security agencies for their conduct.

Senator Alli said other positions from the zone, Secretary, Treasurer, Organising Secretary, Publicity Secretary, Auditor, Women Leader and Youth Leader were won unopposed through consensus.
In a chat with newsmen on the sidelines of the election, the minority leader of the Zamfara State House of Assembly and the only remaining PDP lawmaker in the House, Alhaji Saleh Usman said they were excited by the success of the congress.
“We are happy that the event took place. Though it is a spillover from last year, it will not affect the fortunes of the party in 2023,” he said.
The north-west geo-political zone comprises Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara states.
