Group Commends El-rufai’s Effort in Curtailing Second Wave of COVID-19 Pandemic
AREWA AGENDA – A Pro Northern Group, the Arewa Consultative and Synergy Forum (ACSC) have commended Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai for his efforts in tackling the second of COVID-19 Pandemic in the State.
The Group stated this in a release Wednesday signed by its National President Engr. (Dr.) Harris HM Jibril.
The statement reads:
The hard way is the only way – so the famous saying goes. For a casual observer, a leadership position is perceived to be a bed of scented roses without thorns, but for those with a firsthand experience of leadership the above statement contradicts reality as each day is characterized by decisional dilemmas that epitomize the analogy of choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Such is the dilemma facing the government of Kaduna State under the able leadership of His Excellency, Malam Nasir El-rufai as the second wave of the corona virus pandemic becomes a palpable reality. Should there be a second lockdown to curb the spread against the popular wish of the populace or should the public be appeased at the expense of the viral spread? So far the government has steered clear of that tightrope opting to only end schools’ sessions prematurely. We at the ACS Congress believe that when it comes to taking measure decisions the Kaduna State has a track record of a clean bill of conscience so we support the government on whatever decision it might ultimately take as it has always strived to put the people first. In view of this, the ACS Congress highly commends the government’s efforts.
The ACS Congress calls on the people of Kaduna State to exercise their civic duty as good citizens by abiding by the laws and regulations already in place and those that might subsequently be put in place by the state government as they toil day and night to ensure that the virus does not find a comfortable home in the state.
