Schools Resumption: Children Sensitized on COVID-19
AREWA AGENDA – Ahead of schools resumption in Kano, children between the ages of five to ten were Saturday, sensitized on COVID19 prevention protocol by a member of Arewa Agenda for sustainable development, Miss Hannatu Sulaiman Abba, in Sheka Community of the State.
Miss Abba stated that the main aim for organizing the awareness for the children in her community is to enhance the children’s understanding of the virus and enlighten them on the necessary prevention measures in order to contribute towards stopping the spread of Coronavirus in the state

She urged the State Government to prioritize all necessary prevention and control protocol in the state as it plans to resume alongside other schools across the country.
“The ministry of Education under the able leadership of the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mohammad Sunusi Kiru should ensure compliance to basic prevention measures such wearing facemask, washing of hand with clean water and soap, using of hand sanitizer often by the children will help in curbing the virus spread among their peers,” Miss Abba said.
The children who expressed delight at the opportunity given to them by miss Abba, promised to act upon what they have learnt while urging the Government to add more effort in preventing the spread of the virus in the State.
