Rep. Member set to support students with N10,000 grant monthly
AREWA AGENDA – The Member Representing Albasu, Gaya and Ajingi in the House of Representatives Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya has reiterates his effort towards supporting students of higher institutions in his constituency by introducing financial monthly grant to higher institutions especially students pursuing National Certificate of Education and related discipline.
According to him that 50 deserving students across the three local government area will be selected as beneficiaries of AMG Educational Support Programme of N10,000 grant monthly for encouragement.
This was made known in a press release issued to media outlets after the lawmaker held quarterly meeting with Albasu, Gaya and Ajingi APC caucus and other stakeholders in his Kano office and signed by Senior Legislative Assistant Mr Ibrahim Umar.

Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya said, since he assumed as Member six years ago he provided financial support through AMG Educational Support Programme each year for students to settle their registration and examination fees for final year Senior Secondary School Students to seat for either NECO or WAEC.
He further confirmed his engagement in providing support through purchasing and distribution of hundreds forms for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across the three local government he represent.
Adding that a standing committee of seven seasoned educational members will soon be inaugurated for selecting deserving students across the Albasu, Gaya and Ajingi local government areas.
The cumulative amount of the program will stand at N18 Million which translate to N1.5 million each month.
Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya added that within two year of 9th National Assembly, he had been able to construct three blocks of classroom in each of the 30 wards of his constituency to support basic education.
