Rare Display Of Honesty, As Kano Driver Returns Huge Amount Of Money To Police Command
In what looks like a rare attribute of integrity and honesty, a remarkable display of honesty and integrity, a commercial motor vehicle driver in Kano State has returned a bag with huge sum of money to the state’s Police Command.
This was made known by the command’s public relations officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Monday in a press statement made a available to Journalists.
Safiyanu Mohammed, who is 36 years old, is a resident of Ungogo LGA, Kano State, but an indigene of Katsina State.

He was said to have found the bag on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Hadejia Road by Dakata Junction, and handed it over to the police command.
As at the time of filing this report, there is no bag exact identification or contact information of the owner is attached to it.
The Kano State Police Command is calling on the rightful owner of the bag to come forward and lay claim. Proof of ownership is requested by the police to facilitate the return of the bag of money.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, commended the commercial driver for his exemplary honesty and urged anyone with information about the owner’s identity to come forward.
