Born and raised in Nigeria as well studied in France, Professor Gwarzo’s itineraries to prominence in the field of education is a testament to his passion for learning and his desire to make a meaningful impact on society.
Upon the completion of his education, both at Masters and PhDs levels, she embarked on a career dedicated to improving access to quality education for all and sundry, and without prejudice for individuals’ backgrounds, particularly in underprivileged regions and communities in the African Continent.
One of the Professor Gwarzo’s most notable contributions is his pioneering of the first Bilingual Private University in Sub-Saharan Africa popularly known as Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN), Maradi.
The university promotes and leverages on innovation to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
His groundbreaking successes increase from MAAUN Niger republic but established additional three (3) universities with operating licenses.
These universities include Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Franco British International University Kaduna and Canadian University of Nigeria, Abuja with others on the pipelines including in Europe. These Four Schools from the founded by Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo are all under the MAAUN Group of Universities with him as Founder and President Governing Board of the Group.
Recognizing the potential of innovation to democratize education, he has spearheaded initiatives to promote innovation, use of technology and creativity into classrooms. Through his efforts, students and faculty members (lecturer ins) in even the most remote areas have gained access to online resources, interactive learning platforms, and virtual classrooms, leveling the playing field and opening up new opportunities for academic success.

Furthermore, Professor Gwarzo is a fervent advocate for curriculum reform that is relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of African communities. He has championed efforts to modernize educational reforms including the thriving of Private Universities to compliment government institutions, curricula development by ensuring reflecting the innovations, skills development in need of the African and the globe.
