Prince of Zazzau Visits Home;
As Dr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi declared interest to contest for the gubernatorial election seat in 2023 in Kaduna State. Many believe that the young aspiring Governor will take the state a greater height if given the mandate considering his vast experience in serving the state.
Sequel to this, the patriotic and deligent leader Dr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi embarked on a massive two-day consultations visit in Zaria to affirm his desire and solicit the support and prayers of the traditional rulers, party chieftains political associates and well wishers.
During the two-day visit, people in Zaria that include both men, women, youth seen dancing and chanting “Dattijo Ɗoɗar” all to appreciate and support the intent of their own seeds the two term Commissioner of budget and planning and one time chief of staff to the executive Governor of Kaduna State Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
The determining young politician begins the two-day consultation visit in his home town Madaki Shehu’s resident Amaru Zaria City where he received words of blessings from his beloved parents whose their prayers to Almighty Allah grand their son Muhammad Sani Dattijo a good health and successful life.
History reveals that during the life time of Wamban Zazzau grand father of Muhammad Sani Dattijo made supplications “He will be named after me, Muhammad I have prayed for him achieve greatness by the will of God.” These were the words of late wamban Zazzau Muhammad Sani Maigamo, upon birth of his grandson Muhammad Sani Abdullahi. And this has began to manifest the life of the Dattijo.
Muhammad Sani is a prince of Zazzau Emirate drawing his royal lineage from the late Emir of Zazzau His Royal Highness Alh. Ɗalhatu Usmanu Yaro, younger brother to Sarki Kwasau, the son of Sarkin Zazzau Usman Yero, , the son of Sarki Zazzau Abdullahi, son of Sarkin Zazzau Hammada, the son of Sarkin Zazzau Malam Yamusa, (The founder and first of Fulato-Borno ruling dynasty of Zazzau).
His royal highest Alh. Ɗalhatu Usmanu Yero was the Magajin Garin Zazzau. By during Kwasau’s reign and ascended the throne of Sarkin Zazzau when Sarkin Aliyu was deposed in 1920. He is the first in history to be crowned Emir of the title of Magajin Gari. His Royal Highness Alh Ɗalhatu Usmanu Yero is the great great grandfather of Muhammad Sani Abdullahi (Dattijo).
Muhammad Sani was born in Kaduna-Kaduna State in 1979. His father Alh. Abdullahi Sani is the current Ɗan’Adalan Zazzau known for justice and the ties of kinship. His mother is the renowned politician Hajiya Sa’adatu Sani who served the federal government of Nigeria as an Honorable House of Representatives Member from 2003 to 2011. Hajiya Sa’adatu is the Daughter of Ahmad Musa the late chief Security officer of late Sardauna Of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello. She was a two-term lawmaker and chaired the House of Representatives committee on milinnium Development Goals MDG’s.
Muhammad is married to Hafsat Kagara and Maryam Lawal. He is blessed with three wonderful and very energetic young men.
Muhammad is popularly known as “Dattijo” among family and friends for his upright character and humility.
“Certainly, by the will of God, it’s crystal clear that the prayers of late Wamban Zazzau are being answered, for these indeed excellent traits of a credible and reliable successor insha’allah.” Said by the most eldest person in Madaki’s Shehu’s resident, Amaru Zaria City.
While receiving the Gubernatorial Aspirant the APC ward Chairman (Kwarbai A ward) Shamsuddeen Muhammad described Sani Dattijo as vibrant politician who done a great job in all field. And appreciate him for flagging up his consultations visit from his poling unit 015 kofar Gidan Madaki Amaru and formally declared his intention to contest in the 2023 Gubernatorial race at Kwarbai A ward office. Finally the Chairman endorsed Muhammad Sani Dattijo as the right candidate for APC “I personally don’t need any introduction from him becouse we all fall from the same poling unit, the same ward and same local government Zaria infact he’s my elder brother. So for that it is mandatory for me to stand and work for our success for the betterment of Zone one and Kaduna State as a whole.” He said.
In her remark, the Chairperson of All Progressive Congress Zaria Local Government Haj. Rakiya Adamu and the secretary of the party Alh. Kabiru Muhammad Star said ” Dattijo is the only deserving candidate that has the capacity and capability to succeed Malam Nasir Elrufai who looking at his unique opportunity in working with the Governor for over 7years which his credibility makes him the brain box of architectural transformation of new kaduna.” later Rakiya Adamu urged all the ward and local government executives to support Dattijo for continuity.
At the Emirs palace, His Royal Highness the Emir of Zazzau Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli described Dattijo as obedient, vibrant, and active young politician whose era will make Kaduna more great looking at the modern trend of the fifth generation. “for that you are blessed and you will reach the stars.” His Royal Highness said.
Responding, the prince of Zazzau, the two-term Commissioner of budget and planning and one time chief of staff to Mal. Nasir Ahmad Elrufai Governor of Kaduna State, said “I am presenting myself here in my home town Zaria to inform you my intentions to continue for consultations process towards a run for the Kaduna Gubernatorial seat in the coming elections.
After consulting and gotten approval from my father Mal. Nasir Ahmad Elrufai and my mother the Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe then the Speaker Rt Hon. Yusuf Zailani and his colleagues in Kaduna State House of assembly.
Later I sought an advice of the State Secretary General Mal. Balarabe Abbas, My elder brother Mal. Bashir Sa’idu the Commissioner of finance. I also moved to Abuja to meet Members House of Representatives and seek for their support under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajuddeen (Iyan Zazzau) and I am grateful with your elderly advice and shown of love.

My desire to contest is to guarantee continuity in governance, especially in the area of evolving development in the state, has largely fueled my interest in the 2023 gubernatorial contest.
As a development practioner, I’m conscious of the danger of retrogression and the need to ensure that the gains we’ve made as a state are not reversed under whatever circumstances. I am therefor putting myself forward based on the need to ensure the continuity of excellent performance we have witnessed in the last 7years.”
