This is made known via the President official Twitter handle @mohamedbazoum today short after moon sighting committee announced Sunday as the 1st day of Shawwal and declared Sunday as Eid-el-Fitr.
Bazoum’s message read; “To all Nigeriens, to the entire Islamic Ummah, I express my ardent wishes for a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration in peace, security and solidarity. May Allah accept our devotions and our deprivation and grant us a good wintering”
