Open Letter to Kwara Gov on Marginalization of Moro Community
We, the members of the Moro Technocrat Consultative Forum, hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. As representatives of the Moro community in Kwara State, we would like to begin by expressing our deep appreciation for the commendable work and dedication that your administration has displayed in driving positive change throughout our beloved state. Your commitment to improving various aspects of Kwara State’s governance and infrastructure has not gone unnoticed, and we applaud your efforts in making Kwara a better place for all its citizens.
However, we find it necessary to convey the concerns and frustrations of many Moro sons and daughters who have long experienced marginalization in various spheres, including federal appointments, military and para-military slots, federal public service jobs, and board positions within MDAs. The Moro community, an integral part of Kwara State, has grappled with a persistent injustice that has resulted in underdevelopment and a lack of equitable opportunities for our people.

At the heart of our concern is the apparent lack of representation of Moro indigenes in crucial federal appointments, military and para-military roles, federal public service positions, and board appointments within MDAs. It is disheartening to witness our talented and capable individuals continually overlooked for these roles, which could not only contribute significantly to the development of our community but also provide equitable opportunities for Moro people.
Your Excellency, we pose these questions with genuine concern: What is the reason behind the consistent exclusion of Moro indigenes from these opportunities? What are the factors that have led to this long-standing injustice? We implore you, as the leader of our state, to address this issue urgently and ensure that the Moro community is afforded its rightful share of federal appointments and opportunities within Kwara State.
We firmly believe that by rectifying this situation, you can help close the developmental gap in the Moro community and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable Kwara State. Your commitment to justice and fairness is well-known, and we have every confidence that you will take the necessary steps to address these concerns promptly.
In conclusion, we once again express our gratitude for your leadership and the progress achieved under your administration. As representatives of the Moro Technocrat Consultative Forum, we are optimistic that, with your intervention, the Moro community can also benefit from the developmental strides taking place across Kwara State.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, Your Excellency. We look forward to a brighter and more inclusive future for the Moro community and Kwara State as a whole.
Sincerely,
[Mustapha Kabir Cna Omo Nma Malete]
