Ohinoyi Sues For Peace Over Burning Of Masquerade Costume At Eika Adagu

As the controversy surrounding the burning of masquerade costume at Eika Adagu, in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State continue to raise dust, rhe Ohinoyi Ebiraland,  Dr Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, has called for calm  and sued for peace.

While addressing the media on the matter  at his palace, the Ohinoyi emphasized the importance of maintaining tranquility after receiving reports from the Ohi of Eika, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Momohjimoh Opewu.

The Ohi had formally notified the Ohinoyi about the incident on August 29, with the Ohirebas presenting their grievances at the palace on August 30. The Ohinoyi, while commending the peaceful approach, promised to investigate the matter thoroughly, including inviting the accused to the palace for their side of the story.

He also announced the formation of a committee to mediate and prevent future conflicts, urging all Ebiras to embrace religious tolerance and reject violence over faith, which he emphasized belongs solely to God.
