NSA, Service Chiefs, Northwest Govs hold townhall meeting in Kaduna over insecurity

AREWA AGENDA – A meeting between governors in the northwest region and Service Chiefs at the instance of the National Security Adviser, Bagana Moguno already has most of the governors and the security heads in attendance.

The meeting is holding at the popular Arewa house in the state capital and the environment is awash with security personnel.

Top on the agenda are Kidnapping, banditry, cattle rustling and other security concerns in the country.

Most of the governors have not been on the same page on the way out of the situation, and the meeting is expected to evolve a collective approach on a way forward.

Solacebase reports that Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai in an interview with the BBC suggested way out noting that most of his colleagues are not collaborating.

However, Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje faulted the statement in another interview he also granted Radio France.
