Niger President Applauds Maryam Abacha Varsity, Says Institution Crucial to Country’s Educational, Economic Growth

AREWA AGENDA – The President of Niger Republic, Mahamadou Issoufou has commended the Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN) for its great impact towards educational and economic development in the country.
Issoufou stated this when the management of MAAUN under the leadership of it’s President and Founder Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo paid a courtesy visit to him on Saturday 29th November 2020.
In his remark during the fruitful visit at the Government House in Maradi, President Issoufou, said that, “the establishment of MAAUN University in Niger has brought a huge socio-economic development in the country.

“It is a known fact that MAAUN Maradi has promoted educational development and improves the economic growth and development of the region; and the entire country”. He added.
Earlier the Maradi Region Governor Zakari Oumarou, the Governor of Maradi mentioned that “the university of MAAUN has to be a blessing for the various development outcomes in business, renting and foster unity and friendships “.
In his remarked, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, the President and Founder of the University, expressed his appreciation for the reception and support received from Nigerian Government and its Maradi community.
Professor Gwarzo said “We appreciates the continuous support and cooperation from the government of the Niger Republic enjoyed by the University. The university committee community is committed to the advancement of peaceful coexistence among the staff, students and the Maradi university host community”.
Maryam Abacha American university is the first English University in Niger Republic.
