In Niamey, Professor Gwarzo Meets African Leaders, Attends President Buhari French Version Book Launch

AREWA AGENDA – The President and Founder of the Maryam Abacha American University of Niger attended the African Union (AU) Extraordinary Summit on Industrialization and Economic Diversification and AU Extraordinary Session on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The event took place in Niamey, Niger, from 20 – 25 November 2022 with the theme: “Industrializing Africa: Renewed Commitment towards Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization and Economic Diversification”.
During the days of the event, the MAAUN President and founder interacted with the African presidents among which include President Mohammed Bazoum of Niger, President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria, and President of Guinea Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló
Earlier, the founder of Franco-British International University Kaduna and the Canadian University of Nigeria Abuja, Professor Gwarzo joined other African leaders who attended the launch of the French version of the book entitled ‘‘Muhammadu Buhari: the Challenges of Leadership in Nigeria’’, on Thursday.
The African presidents shared their testimonies on the leadership qualities of the Nigerian president during the occasion.

The presidents who were present at the event include President Mohamed Bazoum of Niger Republic, President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea Bissau, General Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, Head of the Transition Military Council and President of Chad, and former President of Niger Republic, and ancient President of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou.
President Buhari’s biography book was authored by John Paden, a Professor of International Studies at George Mason University, Northern Virginia, United States.
The event took place at the margins of the African Union Summit on Industrialization and Economic Diversification, as well as the Extraordinary Session on African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), running from November 20 to 25, 2022 in the capital city of Niger Republic.
One of the book reviewers present was Prof Abdallah Adamu, former Vice Chancellor of, the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)
The minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika and three other Nigerians, Mohammed Indimi, Chairman of Oriental Energy Resources (OER), Sayyu Dantata, Chief Executive Officer, MRS Holdings Limited, and Farouk Adamu Aliyu, received awards from the President of Niger for their contribution towards the development of Nigeria and Niger bilateral relationship.
In addition, Prof. Gwarzo further engaged with Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Minister of foreign affairs, Chief Security Adviser, Minister of Finance, and other dignitaries present.
Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo foundation was part of the humanitarian and development organisation among other organisations that participated in Africa and the humanitarian innovative solutions.
The Internationalization and development of Africa are key objectives of the participation.
