NEEM Foundation Engages Media, Other Stakeholders In Fight Against SGBV In Kano

AREWA AGENDA – In the quest to fight the seeming rampant Sexual Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Kano state, NEEM Foundation on Thursday hosted media practitioners and other critical stakeholders at a round table meeting.
The meeting which is a follow-up to the one held on May 25 this year in the state had in attendance seasoned journalists from several media organizations, the representatives of the police force as well as the Civil Defense Corps and other CSOs.
While speaking, the Kano State Lead NEEM Foundation, Mrs. Rotkang Kyunni decried the delay in the passage of the law of the SGBV bill by the Kano State House of Assembly, adding that the passage would have put its perpetrators in serious check.

Kyunni enjoined the journalists in attendance to amplify the fight against SGBV in the state, noting that many victims of the scourge had died in silence.
She promised that her organization will continue to intensify its awareness creation and campaigns against SGBV in the state unabated.
