NEDC donates relief items to Taraba flood victims

The items, the commission believed, would cushion the negative effect of the natural disaster. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Madaki Musa, who received the items on behalf of the state government, vowed to ensure that none of the targeted beneficiaries is left behind in the distribution.
Flood, necessitated by heavy rainfall, recently wreaked havoc in some local councils of the state, leading to massive displacement of persons. Mostly observed were women and children, majority of whom, at the time of filing this report, were taking refuge in public places and host communities.
Viewing the commission’s gesture as a welcome development, he urged other organisations to collaborate with the state government to address the health challenges confronting the state.
