How NDLEA Demolished 21 Drug ‘Joints’, Arrest 21 Suspects in Kano
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano State Command has demolished 21 illegal drug joints and detained 198 drug suspects.
This is in line with a statement made to reporters on Tuesday in Kano by the agency’s spokesperson, Mr Sadiq Muhammad-Maigatari.
The State Commander of the agency, Abubakar Idris-Ahmad, began “Operation Hana Maye,” or “Operation Stop Drug Abuse,” which is currently underway when the arrests were made, according to him, between January 17 and January 26.
Combating drug usage and trafficking in the State is the goal of the operation.

“Out of 198 suspects, 61 suspects were arrested in a club that had been transformed into an illicit drug joint.
“The 42 suspects were arrested at Dan Agundi graveyard and 21 drug joints including Sheka graveyard and Sheka Obajana were dismantled to create a safer environment and discourage drug-related activities in the state,” he said.
He claims that a sizable quantity of illegal substances, including Exol five rubber solution, suck and die, cannabis, and other harmful chemicals, were successfully seized by the Command.
He reiterated the agency’s resolve to end drug addiction and trafficking.
He asked everyone to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity linked to drug usage or trafficking and to report it to the relevant authority.
